No Yankees in the post season?

The Yankees are a big time team, so naturally they make big time news. Such a high payroll, so many injuries, and there are even more questions. I can't help but laugh when all these sports "experts" say that the Yankees won't make the post season this year. Don't they remember what happened last year? Last year the Yankees were in bad shape in the East, but went on to win the East ... again (I will give the "experts" the fact that this year the wild card MAY not come out of the East). You can't count the Yankees out, EVER!!! Steinbrenner has the cash and Cashman knows how to make the moves.

Which brings me to the next thing bugging me today ... A ROD. Now I know what you are thinking, here comes another A ROD basher. You would be DEAD wrong to think that though. I was one of the many fans that laughed out loud like an evil genius when Alex put on the pinstripes. Love being a Yankees fan and getting the best players all of the time. It's like being a spoiled kid.

Arod is like a flashy toy for Yankees fans that worked really well (well enough to win the MVP for god sake), for awhile. Now that the "toy" isn't working exactly how we want, it seems like time to throw a tantrum. I understand the boo birds, but they have to realize they are making things worse. Alex Rodriguez can't win the MVP every year, he's only human. The thing a lot of these boo birds don't understand is the things that Alex IS doing for the team. Yes he's been sketchy at third and yes he's not hitting well, BUT his teammates are playing well. All the media and the fans are focused on A rod. It's hard to focus on too many things at once, so the rest of the team can slip under the radar. Everyone puts pressure on Arod and the rest of the team can just relax and play the game.

Now let's just give the guy a break. He's paid very well, so we shouldn't feel sorry for him, but we don't need to harass the guy.

Let AROD play and work it out on his own!!!
